Cloud strategy & architecture
We define where cloud fits your business, which workloads move first, and the target architecture that holds it together.

Most cloud programmes stall because the decision was made by a vendor, not by the business. We start from your constraints, risk appetite and operating model, then design an architecture your teams can actually run.
When to call us. Signs it’s time for this work.
- Cloud spend is growing but nobody can explain the plan behind it.
- Different teams have adopted different providers without shared standards.
- The board wants a cloud decision and the options look equivalent.
- Security and network design are being settled project by project.
What’s included. Scoped to your context, delivered end to end.
- 01
Workload portfolio assessment
We review each application for business value, technical fit and dependencies, then decide whether to retain, move, rebuild or retire it.
- 02
Provider and sourcing choice
An evidence-based comparison of hyperscalers, regional providers and local data centres against your cost, latency and compliance needs.
- 03
Target reference architecture
Landing zone, identity, networking, security and resilience patterns, documented so engineers and auditors read the same design.
- 04
Cloud governance model
Decision rights, guardrails, tagging and approval flows that let teams move fast without creating unmanaged risk.
How we work. Four phases, with value at every step.
- 1
2–3 weeks
Discover
Interviews, application inventory and infrastructure review to understand what you run, what it costs and what constrains you.
- 2
2 weeks
Decide
Workshops with leadership to agree principles, provider strategy and the order in which workloads move.
- 3
3–4 weeks
Design
Detailed target architecture and landing-zone blueprint, reviewed with your security, network and application owners.
- 4
1–2 weeks
Plan
A sequenced roadmap with business case, skills plan and the first wave ready to start.
What you walk away with
- Application portfolio assessment
- Cloud strategy and principles document
- Target reference architecture
- Landing-zone blueprint
- Sequenced migration roadmap
What changes
- A cloud decision leadership can defend and explain.
- One architecture standard across every team and provider.
- A clear first wave, ready to fund.
Where we do this work. Sectors where this service matters most.
- Financial ServicesBanks, insurers and asset managers modernising for a digital, regulated and increasingly competitive market.

- Public SectorGovernment bodies and agencies delivering simpler, more trusted public services.

- Retail & ConsumerRetailers and consumer brands competing on experience, relevance and agility.

Common questions.
Do you recommend a particular cloud provider?
No. We are independent and take no resale margin. We compare providers against your requirements, including local hosting options, and explain the trade-offs behind our recommendation.
How long before we see something useful?
Within the first few weeks you receive an application inventory and early findings. The full strategy and architecture usually take two to three months, depending on the size of your estate.
Can you work with our existing architecture team?
Yes, and we prefer to. We work alongside your architects, challenge assumptions where needed and leave the design owned by your people, not by us.
More in Cloud & Infrastructure. Offerings that often run together.
- Migration & modernisationWe move applications and data to the cloud in planned waves, modernising where it pays and rehosting where it does not.
- Platform engineering & DevOpsWe build internal platforms and delivery pipelines that let your engineers ship safely, often and without waiting on tickets.
- Cloud operationsWe run, monitor and continuously improve your cloud environments, so services stay available and incidents are resolved quickly.
